The Great Wall

The Great Wall is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  Construction of the Great Wall began about 600 B.C. to prevent foreign invaders from attacking China.  Around 221 BC, The first emperor of China, extended it.  The Great Wall kept growing until the Qing dynasty (1644).  It is about 4000 miles from Shan Hai tower (He Bei Province) to Jia Yu tower (Gan Su province).  It took about 2,000 years to build.  The Great Wall snakes along the ridge of the mountains and provides a grand view of gorgeous valleys and woods.
