Welcome to our Culture Village

In our village, all different celebrations and cultural events occur throughout the year.  It's time to celebrate MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL ( also called Moon Festival).  We hope you will enjoy a glimpse of this exotic scene.

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

On the 15th of the eighth month (September 14, 2008) in the Chinese calendar is the Moon or Mid-Autumn Festival. This is the time when families get together, enjoy a hearty dinner, watch the brightest full moon of the year and eat moon cakes. This day is also called " Family Reunion Day".

Sitting on their porch under the bright moonlight, Grandparents cheerfully tell the old fairy tales about the moon princess.

When you look up at the moon on September 21st, you'll see clearly the Moon Princess, Chang Er, and her little company, jade rabbit.

Chinese people also worship the moon as a match maker. At the night of Moon Festival, single young ladies pray under the moon hoping the moon match maker will bring them a happy marriage.
